Not because of the weather, that’s for sure. It’s been raining on a 3-1 schedule (3 days of rain, 1 day of sun or clouds) since I arrived three months ago. But bone dry of inspiration and motivation …
Back in the US it was easier to walk in the street with the camera and take pictures of anything and everything. Here back in my town … is another story … maybe because is a small city compared to San Francisco. But seems that people here is way more aware of the camera, also way more suspicious of “what are you going to do with my photo?”. I’ve been living here for most of my life, so finding something that could motivate or inspire me is difficult too. Winter make daylight scarce for me with my work schedule … Let’s say that is not that easy. But I’m not giving up.
Right now I’m still with parts of my life that are not 100% settled. Still waiting in my old apartment to be vacant so I can get back in. Will be a matter of a month or two. Don’t have a car yet, so I can’t move as free as I’d like. So right now my life is mostly work and family.
But I think the main two problems are; one, to have my own place so I can focus on this web, and also into couple other things I have in mind; and two, the light … it is so cloudy and overcast every day than the light makes for the most boring light I’ve ever seen …
Anyway, I better stop complaining. It could be worst. At least i get to eat my favorite food, fried eggs with fries. That food makes me happy.
So I’ll figure a way to get inspired again … It better be fast! Meanwhile …
